May 19, 2017 – Bangkok. Constant Energy is pleased to announce that it has executed a long-term Power Purchase Agreement with Schneider Electric industrial facility in Bangpoo, Thailand. Power will be supplied directly from a Constant Energy rooftop solar plant located on Schneider Electric premises.
Franck Constant, President of Constant Energy commented: “We are very pleased to enter into this project with Schneider Electric with whom I have had good experience for close to 10 year. We are also keen on investing more in Thailand, with its track record of liberalized and resilient private power sector. The corporate PPA activities such as this one with high credit, stable offtakers, will likely increase in the future for our company, providing long term clients with renewable, predictable and competitive electricity.
“We are pleased to enter into this long-term agreement with ConstantEnergy and look forward to further enhance our factory operation carbon footprint through projects like these”, added Marc Pelletier, Country President of Schneider Electric for Thailand and Laos
“Construction of the solar PV plant has already started, will be close to 1MW capacity, will be using Schneider inverters and will result in CO2 emission reduction of 900 tons per year for Schneider Electric and the Bangpoo Industrial Estate. We look forward to start providing clean energy to Schneider Electric within Q3-2017”, added Constant.
